Great up until arena.. and not because of glitches
INB4 useless for low rating. I want to give some constructive criticism.
Well, the final boss in story mode is level 20. Which I found a little odd, considering how you can learn moves up until level 36 was it? And the final level was 40? Unless you play arena where you have to do a few hours of useless grinding (which got pretty dull.) Don't get me wrong, the story was good. But it was incredibly short and frustrating to do nothing but grind in the beginning. The problem being is simple, in the story there is no point to leveling up past 20-23 (at least as I figured as a barbarian, which I played). Once I beat the game and grinded to 40 (hey I said it was good, just that there are problems.) I exported my barbarian on to arena.
I was very disappointed. I was hoping to see arena to be much longer but instead, it was much shorter. Unless you grind like crazy on level 11 boars. Arena led to a disappointing boss fight that became more luck than skill, whom I have yet to beat and to come so close after thousand of stun based hits... and a random 'doom' appears. It be nice if there could be a strategy of some type we know on fighting him.
TL;DR leveling is moot past 20ish, story was to short, to much grinding, arena was disappointing (for me).
In the end, the story, though short, was amazing. I loved it. It was a small bit of newgrounds nostalgia for me. So thank you. You did absolutely amazing, and I want to say this in hopes of the next game that you manage to fix this. I understand that the game is more high end on graphics for a flash, and a tad more complicated... but if you can pull that off, you will have a really good game on your hand. For this kind of game, you need to be able to reach the max level not just for the final boss. Thank you for your time.
Been awhile to see the cup of originality filled with originality, and less copy pasta. The game was nice and it took me quite awhile to understand. It was good and it kept me playing. Liked the mood, and loved the overall game. nice job.
You moved to slow, the music was awful, and once you lost you just felt like giving up. The game isn't great, and it's yet another good idea for a game ruined by some simple things. The animation was nice, and at first the music was great but it just never stopped. I stopped at level 4 because thats all I needed to know about the game.
Frustrating, multiple problems.
The hit boxes from the LEFT were off, for instance, a lava piece next to a floor piece, you can stand on half of the red piece, and still be alive, which is just horrid designing, but thankful for it. Now, the left side is off, and the right side is as well, but instead, the hit box MOVES OUTWARDS of the enemy to the right. Making it frustrating to get past enemies, and jump over lava pieces. And why would you put one of the invisible enemies in from of a checkpoint, on level 3 on the clock slow down part, the checkpoint doesn't always work! Imagine getting that, dieing, then having to start all the way back before that part! It's frustrating! The invisible enemies were just annoying, and didn't provide a challenge, just a nuisance. The fact you can get ahead of the wall was incredible annoying. Not being able to see ahead of you when this happens, only adds another frustrating point to the game. There's a whole ton of lava pieces there? Well crap, I couldn't see two feet ahead of me! So who would have known? The game needs fixing, and if it was, it would be good. The game would be easy if it weren't for these problems.

Disapointing, and flaws.
I've seen this done at least a hundred times, and it's pretty clear you played dead space, the level switching from part of the ship to another, enemies taking over humans, main guy dies at the end(?). There was no originality in this at all. The bosses were incredibly easy, and the last one was annoying as hell because there was no floor. With no floor, I got constantly knocked off, plus, the edges seem to be a little off there, and if you're not to close to the center, you fall right through. The double tap speed armor was incredibly sensitive, and made it even more difficult on the final boss. Next time there's an alien game, please, don't rip it off of one that already existed.
None the less, the game was fun, and I played it to the end. If you keep a person playing, that's good.
The Pro's and Cons.
The first two levels are like, oh cool, I got this I got this... then you do the 3rd level, then you get analy raped till you do it a lot better. And the wall jumping in this game... you can be on a wall but not be able to jump off, the only efecient way I could do it was jump on the same wall, and I barely made it on the level with the two splits. The game gets to hard to early, but none the less was quite fun. Its good to be challenged, but there is a limit, if I may, try having an easy, medium, or hard challenge setting...
And yes. I beat the game, and couldn't beat lava mode.

Not to be rude, but I am honest when it comes to newgrounds reviews.
Enemies were the same, over and over again, bosses were boring and took to long... and the big thing I wanted to see that is in every other one of these kinda games, were the upgrades. That is what makes an up down shooter, they are always the original single, to double, to quadruple, then sides and missiles coming out... but this just had NOTHING. Not even a special to clear the level. The enemies patterns were dull and predictible and never could kill you no matter how far you got. I'm sorry, but this is not a good game.
It was decent.
But to the jerk below me, this is supposed to be a review place, not for you to act like a total asshole. It is right there under you when your write a review...
But otherwise, it was to easy for the guy to fall off, and whenever you tried to flick him back on he'd just fall to the other side. So, you had to drive SLOW when dodging the fast cars. Thus it became a huge pain. The game was fun other wise, it was something different, so I kinda liked it.
32 days, 491 zombies.
I found it easy to use the composite bow and chainsaw. the chainsaw can be found on the 1st level in the police station, the composite bow im not sure. but i had 3 survivors in which i had them with these weapons.
revolver, shotgun, and normal pistol.
all in all its a good game but extremely hard. I nearly died on the 2nd city i was in. Your AI could be better, and the number of running zombies could decrease cuz there were points in which i was in the single digits because of only them. fix those things and i woulda given you a perfect 10.
